Happy Holidays San Marin Residents! Please Join the Spirit and Pay your Annual Dues! It is that time of year again to pay your $15 annual dues. We have kept our dues low so that it is affordable for most everyone in our neighborhood. $15 is a small price to pay, given the amount of wonderful activities that the SMIA provides for its residents. The SMIA sponsors the publishing/printing of this newsletter; the annual Halloween Parade; the annual Easter Egg Hunt & Family Picnic; the annual Neighborhood Garage Sales; the Adult Neighborhood Social, the SMIA Classic Car Exposition and much more! Please pay $15/year or $30 for 2 years. If you are unsure whether you have paid already, you may email us at smiamail@gmail.com. Regardless, if you overpay, the amount gets credited towards the following year. If we do not receive your dues by January 31st, you will not receive
the bimonthly newsletter. This issue of the View is complimentary to
all residents, but come January it will only be sent to paid members.
Thank you! Fireman's Fund Developer Meeting, Thursday, Dec
4th American Assets, Inc., a San Diego based real estate investment and
development company, is planning to redevelop the existing Fireman's
Fund Office Campus. The proposal, referred to as The Commons at Mount
Burdell, seeks to create a mixed-use project representing a national
model of environmentally responsible development, incorporating cutting
edge green design and technologies to meet the operational needs of
the existing and proposed buildings at the project site. The project
plans to retain the existing Fireman's Fund buildings and add a mix
of new office and retail space, a community building, a hotel/conference
center, a health club, and one-hundred and fifty residential apartments.
In order to receive early community input on the project, American Assets
invites you to attend a neighborhood meeting to learn more about the
project, ask questions, and offer comments. Santa is Coming! Saturday, Dec. 20th Ho Ho Ho Guess who is coming to San Marin once again on his famous horse & carriage . Santa!! Oh, and don't forget his loyal elf who hands out candy canes and helps children on and off the carriage. Santa & elf will be trotting by carriage through our neighborhood on Saturday, December 20th from 9am-12.30pm. Children who wave to Santa from the sidewalk will be able to sit on his lap and express their wishes and maybe even get a candy cane! If you are unable to find Santa in the neighborhood, then head on over to the Meridian Rolling Hills Club at 11.30 where Santa will end his journey. The Club will provide cookies and cocoa for all the patient children. In addition, the fabulous San Marin Choir will keep everyone entertained with their wonderful caroling. Santa must head back to the North Pole at 12.30pm. Don't miss out on the holiday spirit! Santa will begin his journey from Novato Blvd. down San Miguel
